Dr Taiana Reid will be our guest at our special edition of Ask the Expert Live during on March 31, 2026 at 6 p.m.
Dr. Tanya Reid completed her formative studies at the Montego Bay Community College then pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of the West Indies. She later advanced her medical career by completing a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Internal Medicine in 2024.
She currently serves as a Senior Registrar at the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where she is dedicated to delivering high-quality care to underserved communities in rural Jamaica.
Looking ahead, Dr Reid’s vision is to become an innovative nephrologist—one who not only provides world-class renal care but also redefines how this specialty is delivered in Jamaica. Her interest in nephrology is rooted in the immense impact kidney disease has on individuals and families, especially in resource-limited settings where prevention and early intervention are often overlooked. She aspires to bridge this gap by combining evidence-based medicine with a strong focus on accessibility.
